The plate conveyor and the scraper conveyor differ in terms of structure, application scenarios and working principles.
Structural differences
The plate conveyor is composed of a driving mechanism, a tensioning device, a traction chain, plates, driving and steering sprockets, and a frame. The scraper conveyor mainly consists of grooved, traction chain, scraper, head driving sprocket and tail tensioning sprocket. The buried scraper conveyor is a type of transportation equipment that uses a closed shell with a moving scraper chain to transport loose materials to the desired destination.
Different application scenarios
The plate conveyor is suitable for horizontal or inclined transportation of various bulk materials and finished products, especially for transporting heavy, block-shaped, sharp-edged, wear-resistant items and hot items. The scraper conveyor is often used in the coal mining process and can operate under conditions where the bottom plate of the coal mining face is uneven or bent. It can withstand vertical or horizontal bending.

The working principle of the plate conveyor is to move the steel plates by means of the chain, thereby transporting the materials. The working principle of the scraper conveyor is to push the materials along the chute by means of the scraper chain in a cyclic manner.
